Here are a few tips for keeping cool during hot summers, and heatwaves.
Iā€™ll skip the small talk and get straight to it, as youā€™re probably actively melting.

Ā¹ Drink plenty of water - avoid caffeine and make sure youā€™re drinking lots of water. If you feel thirsty, youā€™re already dehydrated.

Ā² Use Fans, obviously. Ideally at LEAST 1 (one) desk fan, and 1 (one) tower fan.

Ā³ Open your doors.

ā“ Open your windows.

āµ Close your curtains and/or blinds to keep the warming sun-rays out.

ā¶ Tie up your hair if itā€™s long, with a bobble, so itā€™s not warming up your neck and upper back like a hair-scarf.

ā· Eat ice-cream.

āø Dress for the weather in thinner, lighter clothing. Clothing that is light-coloured reflects heat-energy more than clothes that are dark/black.

Bonus: Wash your hands and wrists under cold water for a good while.

Hope it helps,
zoey
